Not to Assyria or a false bible blog, but just to general apathy. I hope you will be a merciful new testament blogger, and not the wrathfull Yahweh.Chuckdaddynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30817870.post-9981804097632370232011-11-13T15:17:47.225-08:002011-11-13T15:17:47.225-08:00Oooh, comments! I do remember, though, that when some adults in the church expressed great surprise at my pointing out some contradictions, I couldn't figure out how they'd missed them.

I thought one of the best parts of your visual rhetoric post was how it suggested the way so many people reject large swathes of the O.T. on the theory that it conflicts with the N.T. God but then simultaneously select certain parts of the O.T. to continue to sustain.

When I was a GTF for a Western Civ course that covered significant passages from the Bible, the profs who taught it a lot maintained that the students who knew the least about the Bible tended to be the most fundamentalist students because (the theory went) they simply accepted what they were told was the truth from the pulpit rather than reading the Bible themselves.Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09075041892999096779noreply@blogger.com
